Just wanted to give a huge shout out to those who came to check us out. I was worried with that rain and all, but then ya'll started piling in to the tune of 6,000+ strong and I just hope you had as much fun as we did. I know 'Melo and Co. got you hype on hoops again, but ohh baby did you guys represent. Team AND 1 took the 'W' 85-81 behind AO's 16 dimes and Go Get It, Main and 'Copter flushing it down on oh, just about every play. Ya'll should've seen this kid we called Bubba Sparks...I couldn't believe the crowd reaction to this cat. Who else is going to have no points, no boards and a couple of assists, but leave as the crowd favorite? For a guy his size to have the handle that he does - that's just unnatural B. They gotta give him a little training, let him come down on his weight a bit and this kid's gonna be alright. I was talking to him at halftime and asked him if he was nervous and he said that once he got into the flow and the crowd got behind him, he was out there having fun just doing his thing. See, that's what I'm talking about...it's one thing to pull off some shit at the Open Run in the short time you have to do it, but the real talent doesn't disappear once the lights go down indoors. That's what keeps happening to these cats who get voted off - they'll kill the Open Run, pull a few moves in their first indoor game to get voted on, but then can't stand the heat once Team AND 1 starts to turn it up in the next couple of games. It takes a special person to make it all the way through the summer B, I can't paint that picture any other way. OKC, you got next! | Best ever AND1 tape |
