Detroit Tour Recap
What up Detroit - big shout to your city and Cobo Arena for holding it down last night. Team AND 1 did what they needed to do - they built up the lead and controlled it the whole way. I really thought Team Detroit would give them a better run for their money. I was also a little disappointed to see them lay down so quickly...there was maybe 2 minutes left when they pretty much gave up - letting 'Copter fly into the lane to do his thing and basically waiting for the clock to run out. I ain't the coach though so I can't get down on them...at least it provided a few extra highlights for the fans at the end of the game. The Motor City crowd was real nice too - it seemed liked they were really enjoying themselves. I guess with the Pistons winning and all, basketball is back at the forefront of the Detroit people. Springs must've had damn near 30 points and Spyda and Ballaholic kept up their consistency with about 20 points a piece. The new TV guy "Smokey" out of Philly played in his first game...I think he was a little nervous in the beginning, but settled down and seemed to start to find his groove out there. As far as Team AND 1 goes, you know Main Event, Go Get It and Helicopter put on a show. Half Man sprained his ankle early, but all of a sudden I see him back out on the court. He just loves to play…and it really shows. I hope the younger cats appreciate all the work that he does every night. "You see what happens when you come to the D?" I love that part in the 1st season of Streetball...that one was hot. I like last season though, and not because I'm in it. Well, maybe that's part of the reason, but not all of it. We were all watching the 2nd Season of the ESPN show on DVD the other day...I really like the whole "survivor" thing and it was great to see how far The Professor (and everyone for that matter) has come since last year. We just keep doing what we do and hope that ya'll are having fun right along with us. And that's the bottom line...I'm out for now, but certainly not for the count. Peace. |
