Miami Tour Recap

Hey Miami, hope ya'll are hanging in there after all the sh*t went down with Hurricane Charley. That thing was crazy B – my prayers are with everyone in that beautiful state who are going through tough times because of it. So to everyone that reads this: make sure you take time in your life to appreciate the little things and especially what you have. It can all be taken away very quickly...now I'm gonna step off the sentimental tip and get back to live action.

Miami's squad was stacked – I think this was a great test for AND 1. Everyone kept hyping up the Miami squad, but they weren't as excited they predicted. All I kept hearing about was "Birdman this" and "Birdman that"...He was nice, I'll give him that, and had a couple of highlights...it's just tough to live up to all of the hype sometimes. I liked how Team Miami came out the gate real strong – you could tell they were in it to win it. I'm not going to lie – Miami had me doubting Team AND 1 for a bit in the beginning. They were up by 15 at one point in the first half...they kept trading buckets back and forth and I didn't know how Team AND 1 was going to crack into the lead because the Miami cats kept making all of their shots! I'll tell you this though – Coach Steve Burtt must've had something to say at the half because they came out shootin (aw made you look) and opened up the second half on fire. Next thing I know, my guys are up 16! It was like that all game – see-saw battling back and forth. Professor played like the Professor that I know, getting into the lane and making buckets, opening up the floor for the rest of the team...I was real proud to see him play like he did.

I like to hook up ya'll with the exclusive info...and since Miami was an elimination game, there is some exclusive info to share. We've been rolling with Spyda, Ballaholic and The Problem Child (formerly Smoke) for a minute now...and one of them had to go home. Spyda's been around before, so he knows what he has to do...and he did it. The Problem Child – after the first half I thought he was going home, but he stepped it up and came strong in the second half. Then there's Cardell Butler – aka Ballaholic – who's been consistent as they can be since Utah. Well, he made some shots but they just weren't enough to keep him on the bus. He still is and always will be the Ballaholic – good work this summer fam...I hope you enjoyed the time you had with us because we enjoyed having you be a part of what we do. I'll see you next year.

Peace out ya'll.
